Customer Manager Errors
Posted on 23 July 2008 11:47 am

We have had a small number of customers report unusual browser issues when accessing the Customer Manager. In each of these cases, it appears that the users browser had improperly cached an older version of the JavaScript code in use in the Customer Manager, which was causing error messages or preventing successful use of functions inside of the Customer Manager.

If you are having trouble using the Customer Manager or are getting JavaScript error alerts, you may need to force your browser to update its cached copy of the site. This can easily be done while viewing the Customer Manager page by simply holding the “shift” key on your keyboard, then clicking the Reload or Refresh button on your browsers toolbar. Macintosh users may wish to try holding the “command” (Apple) key and clicking the Reload button. By holding this key down while refreshing the page, the browser will ignore the cached copy and fetch the latest version of all files loaded on the page, which should prevent any further errors or issues. If doing a “forced” refresh still does not resolve this issue for you, you may want to try clearing your browsers cache. In recent Internet Explorer browsers, you can click the Tools menu at the top of the screen and select Internet Options. From this dialog, select Delete or Delete Files to force the browser to flush all cached content. In Firefox or Safari, use the Clear Private Data or Empty Cache choices from the menu bar at the top of the screen to clear the cache. Some computers may need to be rebooted after clearing the cache to insure that all outdated files are purged.

If you continue to have trouble using the Customer Manager after following the steps outlined above, please contact our customer service department for further assistance.
