CuteFTP is a file transfer protocol (FTP) application used for transferring files and folders from your local computer to your web server. Your FTP credentials are sent to you when you first signed up for your web server. To establish a connection to your web server:

• Click on the open connection icon from the toolbar (it looks like an open book and is the first icon on the toolbar)
• Select the site that you wish to connect or set up a new connection by clicking the “New” button and entering in the FTP credentials that were provided to you
• Once connected, the files on your local machine are displayed on the left and the files on your server are on the right
• To transfer files from your machine to the server, highlight the files and click the upload button from the toolbar (green arrow pointing up)
• To download files from your server, highlight the files on the right and click the download button (green arrow pointing down)
