Hotlink protection allows you to prevent outside sources from directly accessing your sites images or other content. If you do not enable Hotlink protection you are open for other sites to access this content effectively using your bandwidth. To enable Hotlink Protection:

• Log into your cPanel through your customer manager at https://my.opensourcehost.com
• Click on “My Products” and then “Control Panel” across from your hosting package
• Select the “Hotlink Protection” icon underneath the “Security” heading
• Click on the “Enable” button to turn the security on
• Verify that all variations of your domain are listed in the box below
• By default, enabling the protection will protect image files. If you would like to protect additional files, enter the extensions in the “Extensions to allow” box.
• You may also specify an URL to redirect these requests to and to allow direct requests to these files
