Creating a FTP account
You can create and manage FTP accounts within your cPanel. In order to create an FTP account:
• Log into your cPanel through your customer manager at https://my.opensourcehost.com
• Click on “My Products” and then “Control Panel” across from your hosting package
• Click on the “FTP Accounts” icon underneath the “Files” heading
• On this screen, you manage existing FTP accounts by changing the memory quota, password or deleting the account altogether
• You can create new accounts by filling out the form above with a login, password, and specifying the level of directory the account has access to and setting the memory quota
• Click “Create Account” to establish the new FTP account
Important Note:
There are two FTP accounts that cPanel creates for you on sign up. These two accounts cannot be removed. Logins and passwords for new accounts must be 6-8 alphanumeric characters.
