Return to "Creating New Email Accounts"If someone sends an email to an address on your site that does not have a specific POP account, that email will be rerouted to the servers default email address. This address was mailed to you when you first set up your cPanel. To update this email address:
• Log into your Customer Manager through your customer manager at https://my.opensourcehost.com
• Click on “My Products” and then “Control Panel” across from your hosting package
• Select the “Default Mail Address” icon
• By default, “Forward to email address” is selected. Enter in the email address that you would like to catch these emails.
You may also choose to discard these emails with a message from the server. Clicking “Advanced” will allow you access to disregard the emails without a message or to pipe the email to another program.
Important Note: We do not recommend using a catch-all email address. This will allow every piece of spam sent to your account to be received. You should create individual email forwarders for email addresses you want to receive email at but not have an actual mail box.
