Return to "FrontPage"If you are unable to publish with FrontPage, the first thing to check is to be sure that your domain name has the correct nameservers on file.
OpenSourceHost’s Nameservers are:
Primary Nameserver | ns1.myhostcenter.com 64.6.240.120 |
Secondary Nameserver | ns2.myhostcenter.com 64.6.240.130 |
If the domain name is set up properly, be sure that you are using the correct publish destination in the Publish Web or Remote Website Settings dialog inside of FrontPage:
http://yoursitedomain.com/
Do not include the www. in the web address to publish to.
If you continue to have problems, you may wish to contact our customer support department; our support engineers can reinstall the FrontPage server components for you. Most times, the log in information will simply need to be reset and the extensions will not need to actually be removed and reinstalled. In cases where this is necessary, a copy of your website on your local system in necessary to re-implement the site after its removal. The site will be “destroyed” by the removal and will need to be re-uploaded and fully published as if it were a new site once the re-installation is complete. If you do not have a local copy of the website, you will need to manually download the files using an FTP client before the re-installation is done. The files can also be restored from a 30 day backup, though there is a fee for that service.
