Return to "Troubleshooting"If you try to send an email message and receive a “relaying denied” error you should check the following:
1. Check the internet security software to see if it is “scanning” email. Most of the time they will auto update and cause the email to error.
2. A majority of ISP’s or blocking port 25 which is used to send email. These IPS’s are requiring that you use their SMTP server to send email. You can try to change the SMTP port to 26 or you can contact your ISP and get their SMTP server to use in your mail client to send email.
3. You must do POP before SMTP when sending out email. This means that you must check the mailbox before trying to reply to or send any messages. You can setup most mail clients to automatically check for email. If you do this and have it check every 8-10 minutes it should work fine.
