Parallels® Plesk Site Builder can be used to add a blog to your website. Blogs are publicly accessible journals comprised of posts and comments from your visitors.
- Once signed into the Parallels® Plesk Site Builder, click on “Step 3 Pages”.
- Select the “Blog” checkbox within the “Special Pages” box toward the bottom of this screen.
- Next click on the button with the “>” symbol to add the new module
- Select “Step 4 Edit” from the top of the page and click “Yes” to apply the changes
- Select “Blog” from the “Site map” to the left.
- To create a new post click on the “Add new Post” icon.
- This will bring up a separate editor specifically used for creating your blog posts. Here you may enter text, insert images, and style your blog post. Text placed above the “%placeToCut” tag will be visible on the blog’s home page whereas content blow this tag will only appear on the blog’s post page.
- Also, you may choose a category for your blog post. Categories will give a good reference for your visitors to view posts written about a certain subject or category. Categories can be added with the “Categories” tab.
- The “Settings” tab will allow you to specify the amount of Posts and Comments a page may have.
- You may preview the changes by clicking on the “Preview” link toward the bottom of the page. If you’re satisfied with the preview, then return to the wizard and click “Step 5 Publish” at the top of the page to publish the new download to your site.
