Requesting a Restore from our Backup Servers

The topic of this article is supported in its entirety by our customer support department.

The OpenSourceHost backup servers maintain up to 30 days worth of historical copies of the data on your website. This means that if you delete an important file while working on your website, you can request that it is restored from our backup archive. Due to the nature of backup systems and the way that data is backed up, we cannot guarantee that the information that you request will be available. However, our engineers will do everything possible to attempt to restore the information for you.

To request a restore from backup:

Log in to the Customer Manager at https://my.opensourcehost.com, then click on the Products tab at the top if you are not automatically redirected to your primary product details page.

Click on View Details

Click on the Request a Restore from Backup icon.

Fill in the required fields to indicate what you need restored and select the date you would like the files restored from, then submit your request.

Our engineers will restore your data within 24 hours, and will let you know when the restore is complete. There is a $50 charge to restore information from our backup systems at this time.
