OpenSourceHost’s myCalendar ValueApp creates an attractive web-based calendar on your website. This is great for groups or clubs that wish to keep track of upcoming meetings, games, or appointments. The web-based calendar will be visible to all web viewers and can be linked to right from your main website. Only users with the correct username and password for the account can login and create new entries on the calendar.

To get started with myCalendar:

Log in to your VDS Manager by clicking the ‘Login to VDS Manager’ link from the Products page of the Customer Manager, which is located at https://my.opensourcehost.com.

Click on Install & Manage on the left side

Click on the Web Applications folder at the top of the page

Click on myCalendar under the Available ValueApps section on the left

Agree to the license

Select a password to use for adding items to the calendar; the username to use will always be ‘admin’

The calendar is now installed and can be accessed by going to http://www.yoursitedomain.com/calendar/ in your browser. If you are not logged in, you will see the upcoming events; use the Create a PDF option in the bottom left to create a printable view of the calendar, or click Login to login to the calendar and begin adding events. When logging in, use the username ‘admin’ and the password that you selected when installing the calendar. Once logged in, you will be given additional options to create an event, add other users to the calendar, and customize the title of your calendar.
