Sending Email to Multiple Users with Distribution Lists

You can send one email to a group of recipients by setting up a Distribution List. A useful example of this would be setting up a distribution list, “”, to automatically forward messages to everyone in your company.

Log in to your VDS Manager by clicking the ‘Login to VDS Manager’ link from the Products page of the Customer Manager, which is located at https://my.opensourcehost.com.

Click the Aliases link on the left

Click the button near the bottom of the page

Click on Distribution List on the left side of the dialog box

You will need to enter an Alias Name; this is the name of the mail list, for example or .

Important Note: Do not include the @yoursitedomain.com portion of the distribution list address in the Alias Name field
You can choose to include any of the local email accounts by holding the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard and selecting the usernames. To deselect a name, hold the “Ctrl” button and click the name again. On a Macintosh, use the “Apple” key instead of “Ctrl”

You can also choose to include any off network email users by typing in their email addresses in the Email Address box

Click to complete the setup of your distribution list.

You can now send an email to to have the message sent to everyone listed in your new distribution list.
