Adding Albums to the Gallery

The topic of this article is not supported by our customer support department, however for your convenience we are providing this material to assist you in troubleshooting potential issues related to this topic.

The Gallery ValueApp allows you to organize your images into seperate image albums; by default, all images are just added to the top-level album, but you can add as many albums as you’d like.

Once you’ve logged in to the Gallery at http://yoursitedomain.com/gallery/, click on Add Album on the left. The “Add Sub-Album” wizard assists you in adding an album; simply fill out the following fields:

  • Name - Enter a name for your album. This is for organizational purposes only and will not be publicly displayed, so enter a terse name without any punctuation. Example: “NewYears2006“
  • Title - This is the name that will appear alongside the album, and will be publicly visible. Example: “Our First New Years Together“
  • Summary - This is a short description that will appear below the title when browsing albums. Example: “New Years Eve 2006 in Times Square, New York“
  • Keywords - These are search terms to assist people who may search your gallery for a particular image. These are not publicly visible, and will be automatically generated by the system if you leave this field blank. Example: “new years, 2006, new york, times square“
  • Description - This is a longer description of the images in the gallery that will be displayed when viewing the contents of the album. Example: “Here are pictures from when we went to Times Square for New Years, 2006. There were millions of people there, and we hope to go back next year.“

Once you have added the album, you will be directed to the album properties area where you can set advanced options for your album. You do not need to make any modification to these settings and can click on Add Items on the left to begin uploading images into the new album.
