Purchasing a Security Certificate

If you wish to secure information entered into your website, you can purchase a security certificate for your VDS Hosting Account.

Log in to the Customer Manager at https://my.opensourcehost.com, then click on the Products tab at the top if you are not automatically redirected to your primary product details page.

Select the VDS Hosting account that you would like to add a certificate to from the product overview page and click View Details.

Click the Add an SSL Certificate icon.

Select the certificate type from the available options.

Enter the required information; the certificate domain must match your website setup exactly. For example, if you purchase https://yoursitedomain.com/, you will not be able to make links to your pages that include the URL https://www.yoursitedomain.com/ or you will receive a web browser error.

Continue through the simple ordering process to complete your request.

Important Note: It can take 2 to 3 days for an SSL certificate to be installed; if your certificate has not been installed within 3 business days, please contact OpenSourceHost’s Customer Support team.
