Common NeoMail Error Messages and Problems

One common error in NeoMail is a “Quota Hit!” message appearing at the top of the screen, even when you only have a small amount of mail in your mailbox. This means that NeoMail was not properly installed; you can update the NeoMail quota (which is used for the Trash and Sent folders) by following the steps below:
Log in to your VDS Manager by clicking the ‘Login to VDS Manager’ link from the Products page of the Customer Manager, which is located at https://my.opensourcehost.com.

Click on Install & Manage on the left

Click on NeoMail in the installed ValueApps area

Edit the Folder Quota field to 10000 (or higher if it is already set at 10000)

Important Note: Be sure you empty the trash within NeoMail to help avoid going over your quota

Important Note: If you do go over the quota that you have set in NeoMail and stay over quota you will lose saved messages. It is very important you do not go over the quota.

If all of your email has disappeared from within the NeoMail, be sure that you are not using another email program to download your mail while using NeoMail - some email clients automatically check mail and may damage the messages if used in conjunction with NeoMail. You may want to discontinue use of NeoMail and switch to the newer Webmail application to prevent this issue from occurring.
