The Weblog ValueApp comes with a variety of themes that include graphics and styled text. You can change your Weblog theme at any time without making any complex changes to your Weblog.

To change themes, simply click on the Presentation tab at the top of the Weblog admin area, then click on the “Select this theme” link next to the theme you want to change to. Be sure to check in your Presentation area often, as new themes are always being developed.

If you wish to make a change to a particular portion of your theme and you are familiar with CSS and HTML, you can make your own copy of the theme and edit it with the Theme Editor. First, use your FTP software to download a copy of the theme from the /usr/webapps/weblog/va_themes/ directory, then rename your downloaded copy. In the file called style.css, edit the first line to change the name of the theme (so that it does not conflict with the existing copy of the theme). Now, upload this directory to the /var/webapps/weblog/themes/ directory and you should see the theme appear in the Presentation section of the Weblog admin area. Additionally, you can click the Theme Editor sub-section under Presentation to directly edit the themes files. Changes that you make to these files are irreversable, and appear immediately on your public weblog pages.

Some themes allow you to update the colors used in the headers of your blog; if your theme supports these changes, simply click on the Header Image and Color sub-section under Presentation to update the theme accordingly.
