If you send a LIST COMMAND email to the list and don’t receive any response, or you receive a message bounced back from the server, most likely your email client is sending messages using HTML formatting, which is not supported by Majordomo.

Important Note: Make sure your email is in plain text.
To send a message in plain text using Mozilla Thunderbird, Netscape or Mozilla:

  • Compose your message as usual
  • Select Options | Format | Plain Text Only from the message’s menu
  • Continue editing the message, and finally send it using the Send this message now button

To send a plain text email in Outlook:

  • Select Actions | New Mail Message Using | Plain Text from the menu in Outlook
  • Create your message as usual
  • Click Send to deliver it

To send a message in plain text with Outlook Express:
